Of the 200 new homes, 150 will be available for private sale, with the remaining 25% being allocated as affordable homes, available through shared ownership or affordable rent. The homes will range in size from two- to five-bedrooms, all from our award winning Heritage Collection, which combines the charm and architecture from the Arts and Crafts movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with spacious and modern interiors.
In line with the semi-rural location, Hamlet Park will also be set in an attractive landscaped setting, with over three and a half acres of green space incorporated into the site, including a pond, a wildflower meadow and a formal square.
We are committed to creating sustainable communities and Hamlet Park will have EV charging points installed on site for residents to charge their electric vehicles and all houses will be heated via Air Source Heat Pumps.
In line with our commitment to create thriving communities, we will also be investing over £2million in the local community, including plans to upgrade Rainham’s sustainable transport and healthy living centre; investing in the library; and increasing capacity and facilities of local schools alongside other initiatives.
David Banfield, Planning Director at Redrow Southern East commented: “We are delighted with the news of planning consent being granted for our next community in Rainham. This highlights our strategic expansion across the Kent region and we are excited to build on our presence and relationships with the local community.
“Hamlet Park is located in a very desirable location, on the edge of the vibrant town in Rainham, surrounded by stunning country side and nature reserves with easy access into London and Canterbury. It is perfect for those looking for that balance between town-country living, including families and commuters alike.”
Situated just 1mile from the centre of Rainham, residents of Hamlet Park have easy access to an array of amenities including supermarkets, Hempstead Valley Shopping Centre, and local shops and restaurants. Kent’s world-famous Bluewater Shopping Centre is also around a 35-minute drive away.
Hamlet Park is perfect for commuters, with Rainham train station being a 15 minute walk from the development and direct services into London St Pancras or London Victoria train station in just under an hour. For residents in search of an activity, the community is situated next to the River Medway and in close proximity to the Riverside Country Park and Berengrave Nature Reserve, with plenty of options for outdoor activities, including multiple walking and cycling trails along the water.
