With no cause too small, we have a pot of up to £8,000 available to be gifted throughout 2024, which we hope will be spread across the region to help as many local projects as possible.
So, whether funds are needed to help supply new books for school children, a new kit for a sports team, or even craft supplies for a youth group, our initiative can help and is now open to entries from everyone.
We are currently building at popular locations throughout Kent and East Sussex, from vibrant towns to rural villages, and have launched our fund in the region for the very first time.
Prior to the fund launching, we have donated toward a range of local causes, most recently providing kit for Ashford Rugby Football Club, plus supporting community Christmas events, hampers for raffles, and days out for children. This is in addition to providing investment in the local area and contributions toward education, healthcare, public transport and affordable housing linked to the planning process.
The initiative aims to help local organisations or individuals at the heart of the community to have the equipment and tools they need to continue the amazing work they are doing, or even start a new, exciting project.
Ben Fewsdale, managing director for our South East division, comments: “We are really excited to have launched our first community fund, which forms part of our commitment to supporting local infrastructure and creating thriving communities both within our developments and in the wider area. Community plays a huge role in choosing where to live and we are continuously looking at ways we can support the local area. We are inviting entries from any group, organisation or individual in the surrounding area of one of our developments, to let us know how we could help their exciting plans – and look forward to making as many come true as possible!”
The community fund is now open for applications and will close at midnight on 15th April 2024.
