Started in 2018, Kingsbourne will feature 324 homes in total and has been a popular destination for house hunters.
The wider development will see over 1,000 properties built by the consortium, made up of ourselves, Taylor Wimpey and the David Wilson Homes.
Along with bringing an influx of new residents and a huge boost for the Nantwich economy, the development is supporting the employment of more than 3,000* people. Once complete, Kingsbourne’s residents will also generate around £1.2million* per year in additional council tax revenue.
Our contributions to the local community, as part of the planning consent’s section 106 agreements, will total around £2.75million, with the housebuilder having already paid £1.75million. This includes money for local primary education, highways improvements and public realm plus provision for Acton Village. The final instalment of £1million, covering further education and highway contributions, is likely to be paid by the end of next year, subject to the number of homes completed.
We are also creating allotments on site, and these are due to be ready by mid-2024.
Our community contributions are part of what will eventually total a £8.3million funding injection provided by the overall consortium.
The open space, play areas, multi-use games area, new road and major infrastructure, alongside proposed commercial elements of the development, are all part of the consortium works.
Within the masterplan for Kingsbourne, there is also an allocation for a new school site and a new community / commercial hub, which will potentially include new shops and services, subject to planning.
It is hoped a planning application for the community / commercial centre can be submitted this year and developers are currently liaising with third parties and the local authority to progress this.
We have also donated £15,000 to local charities, youth groups and sports teams in Nantwich via two voluntary community funds, not linked with the planning agreement.
Anna Evans-Kerr, sales director at Redrow Homes (NW), said: “The fourth and final phase at Kingsbourne marks a major milestone for this flourishing development and, as it progresses, will unlock even more funds for the local community. Since launching in 2018, we’ve welcomed 163 new Redrow homeowners so far and look forward to seeing many more move into a brand new home.
“Once completed, the final phase will provide a range of 66 homes to suit those on different stages of the housing ladder and includes 35 three and four-bedroom homes for private and 31 affordable homes to meet local need.
“All homes are from our Arts and Crafts inspired Heritage Collection, boasting traditional looking exteriors and bright, modern interiors with convivial open plan living spaces.”
The final affordable homes to be built by Redrow are expected to be completed and handed over by the end of next year.
Homes currently on release for private sale include the four-bedroom Marlow and Oxford designs and a three-bedroom Oxford Lifestyle.
Prices on the new wave of three and four-bedroom homes are from £389,995. Redrow’s Help to Sell scheme is also available for those with an existing property and takes all the stress away from selling, with the housebuilder also contributing towards their selling fees.
The three expertly designed show homes are open to view at the location. Find out more about the homes available at Kingsbourne or call
